AI medical prediction model learning process report from high school students

AI4kids and Taichung Girls' High School have collaborated on a multi-selective course - Artificial Intelligence Practice in the second semester of 2020. The main learning objectives are:

1. Have basic knowledge of Python programming language

2. Establishing artificial intelligence background knowledge

3. Build AI data processing and machine learning model implementation capabilities

Combined with the textbook " Learning AI is Really Easy: An Introduction to Machine Learning " published by AI4kids, high school students can gradually build up their background knowledge and practical skills in AI during their studies. At the same time, students are also guided to obtain real data sets from Kaggle, a website frequently visited by data scientists, in order to practice the five major steps of implementing machine learning: defining problems, collecting data, processing data, training models, and inference and prediction.

The following is a practical report completed by a high school student who is interested in medical issues.

We hope that more high school students can learn AI's practical skills through understanding AI, explore their areas of interest in depth, and use emerging technologies to think about and solve problems.
